Being so close often means a strong signal, but Dover's steep valley sides can still put some streets in a shadow, and coastal weather is hard on equipment. We measure the signal at your address so the aerial is aimed and set up for your exact spot, not a guess based on the street.
Terraced homes along the Dour valley sit below steep slopes, which can block or weaken signal for some roads. A carefully aimed aerial, sometimes on a taller mast, usually brings the picture back. We also replace old cable and connectors that add to the problem.

A strong signal doesn't help if the cable, connectors or aerial are damaged. Being very close can even overload an amplifier set up for a weaker signal. We test at the aerial and at each TV point to find exactly where the problem is, then fix that part.
