Where CCTV helps most

Most installs start with one of these. Tell us what you want to cover and we'll plan the camera positions around it.

  • Front doors and entrancesA camera at the door records visitors and deliveries. We position it to capture faces clearly, not just the tops of heads.
  • Driveways and parkingWe cover vehicles and the approach to the property, angled to focus on your own land.
  • Side and rear accessGates, alleys and back gardens can't be seen from the house. Cameras with night vision cover these darker areas.
  • Shops, offices and premisesWe cover tills, stock areas, entrances and car parks, with recording you can review when you need to.
  • Old or faulty systemsGrainy pictures, dead cameras or a recorder that's stopped recording. We advise whether to repair, upgrade or replace.

What's included in a CCTV install

  • Survey and camera planWe agree what each camera needs to see before anything is fitted.
  • Camera fittingWired or wireless cameras mounted securely at the right height and angle.
  • Neat cable routesCables clipped and routed tidily, kept out of sight where the building allows.
  • Recorder set upDVR or NVR installed and configured to record.
  • Phone viewingApp set up on your phone where the system supports it.
  • Test and handoverEvery camera checked, and we show you how to view and play back footage.

CCTV installation FAQs

Do you install CCTV for homes and businesses?

Yes. We fit CCTV for houses, flats and small commercial premises such as shops and offices.

Can I view my cameras on my phone?

Most modern systems can be viewed through an app on your phone. We set this up during the install where your system supports it.

Should I choose wired or wireless cameras?

Wired cameras are generally the most reliable because they don't depend on a wireless signal. Wireless cameras can suit spots where cabling is difficult. We'll recommend what fits your property.

What is the difference between a DVR and an NVR?

Both record your footage. A DVR is used with analogue cameras, and an NVR is used with IP (network) cameras. The right one depends on the cameras you choose.

Will the cameras record at night?

Many cameras include infrared night vision. We'll talk through night performance when we plan the system.

Can you upgrade or repair my existing CCTV?

Yes. We can look at an existing system and advise whether it can be repaired, extended or is better replaced.

Are there rules about home CCTV?

If your cameras capture areas beyond your own property, such as a street or a neighbour's garden, data protection rules may apply. The ICO publishes guidance for people using domestic CCTV, and we'll position cameras to focus on your own property.

How much does CCTV installation cost?

It depends on the number and type of cameras, the recorder and storage, the cable routes and access. You get a free, no obligation quote before any work starts.

Is there a call out charge?

There's no call out charge for quoted work. You get a free, no obligation quote and agree the price before any work starts.

Do you cover my area?
