TV aerial & satellite engineers in Portsmouth

Local, same day service

Portsea Island is packed with Victorian terraces, many shared by students, while Southsea's seafront and the slopes of Portsdown Hill bring challenges of their own. We repair and replace aerials, fit satellite dishes, set up Sky Stream and mount TVs across Portsmouth and out to Fareham and Havant, and we agree the price before starting.

TV reception in Portsmouth

Portsmouth looks across the Solent towards the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight, and most of the city gets Freeview from there. Low-lying Portsea Island generally enjoys a decent signal, but tightly packed terraces and newer tall blocks can still get in the way. Beyond Portsdown Hill, homes in Waterlooville sit on the far side of the ridge, so aerials there may need more care. We check reception at your property first.

Terraced streets on Portsea Island

Fratton, Southsea and the streets around them are lined with Victorian terraces, many split into shared houses. We add TV points so each room has its own feed, replace tired chimney aerials and tidy up cabling that has been extended piece by piece over the years.

Southsea seafront homes

Along the seafront, wind and salt spray wear down aerials, masts and dish brackets far quicker than a few streets inland. We fit weather-sealed connectors, secure masts firmly and check dishes for rust. Some seafront households prefer to drop the dish altogether for Sky Stream, which we can set up.

What our customers say

He quickly diagnosed the problem as not being the aerial, but the masthead amp & power unit. He had a spare on his van, and the work was completed within 30 minutes.

TV installation FAQs for Portsmouth

Do you cover Gosport, Havant and Waterlooville too?

Yes. Alongside Portsmouth we cover Southsea, Fratton, Cosham, Drayton, Fareham, Gosport, Havant and Waterlooville. Enter your postcode in the checker to confirm we reach you.

Does Portsdown Hill affect TV signal in Waterlooville?

It can. Portsdown Hill lies between Waterlooville and the Rowridge transmitter, so some homes there get a weaker signal than those on Portsea Island. A higher-gain aerial, a taller mast or careful alignment usually brings it back. We test at your address and recommend what will actually work.

Can you add TV points to a shared house in Fratton?

Yes. We can run new cables from your aerial to each bedroom and fit a distribution amplifier so every TV gets a strong signal. We test each point once it's in, and can wall-mount TVs in smaller rooms to save space.
