Preston's Freeview comes from the Winter Hill transmitter, on the moors to the south east near Bolton. The land around the Ribble is flat and open, so the signal generally travels well, but distance from the mast and tall buildings in the city centre can weaken it at some addresses. We check the levels at your home and align the aerial with Winter Hill for a steady picture.
Rows of terraces around Deepdale and Ashton often have chimney aerials that have weathered for years. We replace tired aerials and corroded brackets, renew perished cable and add points for bedrooms or a kitchen. Wall mounting a TV on a front-room chimney breast is another common job here.
Housing developments on the northern edge of Preston and around Leyland often come with TV sockets but no aerial on the roof. We fit and connect the aerial, test every socket and can wall mount TVs with hidden cables. If you want Freesat or Sky Stream as well, we can set that up at the same visit.

He quickly diagnosed the problem as not being the aerial, but the masthead amp & power unit. He had a spare on his van, and the work was completed within 30 minutes.

Most Preston aerials should face Winter Hill, to the south east. If yours has been moved by wind or was set up badly, you may get missing channels or blocky pictures. We check the alignment and signal on every multiplex, then realign or replace the aerial if needed.
Usually just a roof or loft aerial connected to the sockets the builder has already wired. We check where the cables run, fit the aerial, test each socket and can add a satellite dish or Sky Stream at the same time.
