With the Crystal Palace transmitter right on the doorstep, most South London homes get a very strong Freeview signal. That can actually cause trouble: a high-gain aerial or an unnecessary amplifier can overload the TV, which shows up as pixelation just like a weak signal. We measure the signal and fit the right aerial, sometimes with an attenuator, so the picture comes through clean.
Long rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces mean lots of chimney-mounted aerials, many of them decades old. Chimney lashings rust through and brackets slip. We replace worn fittings and, where the chimney is in poor condition, fit a wall bracket instead.

A very strong signal can overload a TV's tuner, especially if there's an amplifier or a high-gain aerial fitted. The symptoms look the same as a weak signal. We'll measure the level at the socket and, if needed, swap the aerial or add an attenuator to bring it down.
