Most homes in the Wakefield district pick up Freeview from the Emley Moor transmitter, which stands on high ground to the south west. Signal is usually strong, but an aerial that has slipped off its bearing or cabling that has perished over the years can still leave you with a blocky picture. We test the signal at your address and point the aerial for the cleanest result.
The rows of stone and brick terraces close to the centre and in places like Horbury often have aerials that went up decades ago. Brackets rust, cables crack and joints let in water. A replacement aerial and new low-loss cable usually fixes dropouts for good.
Plenty of newer homes around Outwood and Normanton were handed over with a TV point but no aerial on the roof. We fit the aerial, connect it to the existing sockets and add extra TV points where you need them, then mount the TV so the cables stay hidden.

Everything tested and explained before we leave.
He quickly diagnosed the problem as not being the aerial, but the masthead amp & power unit. He had a spare on his van, and the work was completed within 30 minutes.
Ross mounted my TV on the wall with great precision and care—everything looks fantastic.

Yes. Alongside Wakefield we regularly visit Castleford, Pontefract, Ossett, Horbury, Crigglestone and Sandal. Check your exact address in seconds with the postcode box on this page.
For most of the district the aerial points towards Emley Moor, south west of the city. If yours has been knocked by wind or was fitted towards a different mast, you may see weak or patchy channels. An engineer can measure signal at your roof and realign or replace the aerial.
Usually a rooftop or loft aerial wired to the sockets the builder has already installed. We check the signal first, fit the aerial, test every TV point and can set up Freeview, Freesat or Sky Stream on your TV so it is ready to watch.
