Watford picks up Freeview from the Crystal Palace transmitter in south London. The town is close enough for a good signal, but the valleys of the River Colne and Gade and nearby trees can weaken it in places. As the land rises towards the Chilterns, homes on higher ground often find things easier. We check the readings at your address and aim the aerial accurately at Crystal Palace.
Homes in the river valleys can sit below the surrounding land, which weakens reception. A high-gain aerial or a taller mast usually helps, and a Freesat dish is a good alternative where the signal is poor. Older cottages in Kings Langley and Abbots Langley may also have chimney aerials overdue a check.
Flats near the town centre often share an aerial system or have limited space for a dish. We can set up Sky Stream over broadband, wall-mount TVs neatly and run TV cables to the right spot. Where a building has a communal aerial, we can check the feed from your wall socket to the TV and fix problems inside the flat.

Everything tested and explained before we leave.
He quickly diagnosed the problem as not being the aerial, but the masthead amp & power unit. He had a spare on his van, and the work was completed within 30 minutes.

For most homes, yes. Crystal Palace is the main transmitter for the area and gives you the London channel line-up. If your aerial has been turned by wind or set up badly, you may lose channels. We test the signal, realign or replace the aerial and check every channel.
Yes. Sky Stream works over broadband, so you don't need a dish. We set up and test the Stream puck and can wall-mount your TV with the cables hidden, which suits flats where a dish isn't allowed.
