TV aerial & satellite engineers in Caerphilly

Caerphilly sits in a basin ringed by hills, with Caerphilly Mountain standing between the town and Cardiff. That high ground can cut off signal to some streets, and the towns up the Rhymney valley each have their own reception quirks. We measure the signal at your address, work out which direction gives the best result and fit an aerial to suit. Homes up on the slopes sometimes do better than those on the valley floor, and sometimes the reverse.

Rhymney valley terraces

In Bargoed, Llanbradach and the villages up the valley, terraced houses on steep slopes can lose terrestrial signal almost entirely. We fit high-gain aerials where reception allows and Freesat dishes where it does not. Strong brackets matter here too, because wind funnels along the valley sides in winter.

Swapping the dish for Sky Stream

More households around Caerphilly are moving from satellite to Sky Stream over broadband. We set up the puck, connect TVs in other rooms and take the old dish down if you want rid of it, leaving the wall tidy. If you would rather keep satellite, we can switch your dish over to Freesat instead.
