TV aerial & satellite engineers in Carlisle

Most of Carlisle gets Freeview from the Caldbeck transmitter, south-west of the city on the northern edge of the Lake District fells. The city has a good path to it, but out in the countryside, rolling land, valleys and woodland can weaken the signal. We test what is available at your property and fit an aerial to suit. Wind across open ground can also shift aerials out of line, so alignment is checked on every visit.

Farms and villages in rural Cumbria

Outlying properties often need a high-gain aerial on a taller mast to get a clean picture. For remote homes where terrestrial signal is unreliable, a satellite dish with Freesat gives you plenty of free channels. Where broadband is strong enough, Sky Stream is another option that needs no dish at all.

Sandstone terraces in the city

Older terraces in Stanwix, Harraby and around the centre often have aerials and cables that have done their time. We replace worn aerials, renew corroded cable and add extra TV points for bedrooms. Thick sandstone walls are also ideal for wall-mounted TVs when the right fixings are used.
