York gets Freeview from the Emley Moor transmitter, some distance to the south west in West Yorkshire. The Vale of York is flat, which helps the signal travel, but the distance means aerial choice and alignment really matter. Old buildings and trees in the centre can also cause problems. We test at your address and fit an aerial with enough gain to lock on to Emley Moor reliably.
Period and listed properties in central York can have restrictions on what goes on the outside. Where an external aerial is not suitable, we test whether a loft aerial gives a good enough signal, and route cables discreetly. We can also wall mount TVs with care in older rooms, checking the wall before drilling.
Terraced streets around Fulford, Heworth and South Bank house students and young families alike. We add TV points to extra rooms, fit amplifiers so every outlet works and wall mount TVs in front rooms and bedrooms. Newer estates around the ring road often need an aerial fitted to existing sockets as well.

Everything tested and explained before we leave.
He quickly diagnosed the problem as not being the aerial, but the masthead amp & power unit. He had a spare on his van, and the work was completed within 30 minutes.
Ross mounted my TV on the wall with great precision and care—everything looks fantastic.

Yes. We cover Acomb, Haxby, Clifton, Heworth, Fulford, Bishopthorpe, Strensall and Tadcaster. A quick postcode check on this page will confirm it.
Often, yes. A loft aerial avoids changes to the outside of the building. Because York is some way from Emley Moor, we test the loft signal first to make sure it is strong enough. If it is not, we talk through other options before any work goes ahead.
York is a fair way from Emley Moor, so an older or smaller aerial may struggle, especially with trees or buildings in the way. A higher-gain aerial, better alignment or new cable usually solves it. We measure signal at your home and explain what is needed.
